Once each summer we sail over to Jeremy Point for a picnic. Though attached to land via Great Island, it requires a long walk - thus there is seldom company. |
  |
| Arlene enjoys the sun. Skipper Bill guides his Rhodes 19 out of Loagy Bay. | |
The
second boat is manned by Eric Eastman. His mates include Alice and Lilly. |
  |
With
Jeremy Point far in the distance water washes over the bow. |
  |
Back
on shore at Jeremy Point Arlene helps unload. |
    Susie
and Ethan get ready for their first task. |

Ethan
        and Susie head off
        in search of firewood. |
  |
Bill
and Alice head off in the opposite direction. |
    The
        boats wait just offshore |

The
group sets up for a supper of hamburgs and sweet corn. |
    Lilly
is enjoying her first trip to the Cape visiting Eric. |

All
        is quiet |
    Dwight
        and Arlene |

At
dusk the birds gather. The water cut completely across the spit making
        Jeremy Point an island. |
  |
A
fire helps take off the chill. The umbrellas served as a wind break. |
    Darkness
        starts to settle. |

A
quick cup of coffee before shoving off. The wind will blow directly at
our backs for a nearly silent sail headed back. |
  |
Back
at Old Wharf Point Bill and Arlene roll the sails |
