Physical Education 921 *Graduation Requirement
Grades 11-12
One semester each year 1 credit

Students participate in activities designed to create physical fitness, a positive outlook toward physical activity, confidence in a variety of lifetime sports, and positive social interaction in a sport setting.

Students identify the ways in which they can successfully reach the Massachusetts State Standards and school expectations. They then participate in a combination of required and elective activities that help them meet those self-designed goals.

Required activities include tennis, pickle-ball and personal fitness. Elective activities are chosen from a list that includes yoga, aerobic dance, basketball, volleyball, cardio-vascular conditioning, flag football, badminton and floor hockey. Students are also encouraged to recommend other activities that will help them meet their goals.

The course includes daily physical activity, written assignments and a final project.

This course meets school expectations # 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7
