| This year
I repeated my pattern of last year, meeting the lead runners at Framingham,
Wellesley and Coolidge Corner. Arlene and Emily rejoined me, and also along
for the ride was Matt Taylor (runnerville.com) and Weldon Johnson (letsrun.com). |
 |
| Right away
we met up with a group in Framingham that reminded us that it isn't just
about the professional runners. The vast majority of fans are also out there
to support their spouse, family member, co-worker or just the Joe down the
street whose main goal is just to finish. |

| And just like
that they're gone. |
 |
| We head into
the "Chicken Bone" with the Hanson crew to watch the race on TV
while waiting for the lead males. The women start 25 minutes before the
men. |
