Upon further review of  the entries I have had to rework some predictions. Kudos to the person who told me to look out for OA. One look at their roster and it's obvious they are a "big meet" team.

Ode to the Hock Meet

Indoors "04

The time is drawing nearer
To the Hockomock showdown
Nine teams will head to Reggie
To find who’s the best in town

The Mansfield Hornet’s thinclads
Are the team that would appear
To have the strongest ranking
With the Rockets very near

The Warriors are the other team

Some think will have a stake

But OA is the team

That will shock them all awake

Lets check the event match-ups
I’ll go through them one by one
It doesn't matter if I'm wrong

This game is so much fun

The shot must go to Mansfield
D. McCune will lead the pack
Antonucci and Steve Marsh
Are a little too far back.

But Mike Lyon will be challenging
To enter the top three
Steve Texler is the only other
Throwing past 40

The high jump looks to Matt Hart
He'll continue to excel
No others have shown yet
They can do nearly as well

With Terry Young a’ hurtin
Scheibner and Langton find
They probably place next
If Kyle Hitchcock doesn’t mind

The dash will go to Lancaster
As he breezes down the track
Lyles and Fears may pass him by
If he chances to look back.

Matt Hart could be the chaser
Or the leader if goes well
Look to Bossin or N. Wade
If their races finally gel

In the hurdles it is Vaughn
Who plans to make his Marc-us
Joe Conroy is the best of
The rest who make a ruckus

Sullivan leads “Nandez"
Farside* edges Flecther               *Chris Kalafarski
Only Wild Kyle has the chance
To edge into the ledger

KP will smack the 3
Mike Lyon in the lead
Just steps behind is Fulton
For points that KP needs

Steve Stanley chimes in next
Cause he finds the sprinting fun
He will cross the line just earlier
Than B. Dundon is done.

Dave and Dave must look out
Robbins and Lint might see
Matt Deineinger is apt
In front of them to be

The 600 is hard to call
Just like it was last year
But Jake Hopkins should prevail
With Tim Tolland in the rear

But Tim will still be strong
As the best of all the rest
Unless Tiller and then Langton
Can prove they have the zest

Jason Baillio just doen’t seem
To fit into this rhyme
If Llewellyn and McKim
Can find their PR time

The thousand goes to Bronstein
He’ll put others on the Matt
Fjodor Melnikov
Can’t do much about that

Matt Hickey’s chasing Fjo-lo
Then you’ll see a racing gap
Then Tom Perry leads a close group
Of fine runners on each lap

Harrington’s the winner
Mile runners have to rue
They wish there was another race
That Drew has tried to do

But he’ll outkick Mr. Watson
And make Nate Sharpe look much less
Ian Hobson slips in next
Ahead of quite a mess

Dan Darcy and Paul Matz
Have a chance to go 5 - 6
But there are at least six more
That feel they are in the mix

The two mile goes to Mansfield
With Mike Caeran and Matt Meagher
Don’t expect to find B. Flynn
Hanging back from them too far

Tim Okoren’s with those three
Then you’ll wait for the next two
Dan C. and Andy Brown
Will be next to come in view

Then finally the relay
Mansfield looks to be the best
But NA might be ready
To put them to the test

And KP is the team
That won’t be lagging far behind
OA feels their next
Also Foxy wouldn’t mind

When all is said and done
In the end I think you’ll find
Mansfield leading all
With North Attleboro behind

OA will be right with them
And the rest will be strung out
But no matter what I think
You will find without a doubt

That someone new will use the day
To finally make their mark
And other shining lights
Will get left out in the dark

You’ll never find it easy
To predict, because it seems
The Hockomock looms tall
In athletes with big dreams.
